For companies, well-trained staff members with sound and praxis-oriented expertise in economics are a crucial factor of success. Extensive knowledge of business administration, soft skills and practical experience determine your qualification and your assignment in a company. Our degree programme “Business Administration” is the ideal basis for that. It is characterized by the transmission of scientific principals, methodological competences and profession-oriented qualifications. The content of this programme includes economics, law classes, and scientific research and writing skills. Our graduates gain a wide spectrum of expertise which they can transpose directly into practice.

Admission Requirements

The admission to our programmes is governed by the Berlin Higher Education Law as well as the HWTK regulations concerning studies and admission. For admission to the bachelor programme “Business and Administration” there are the following requirements:

  • General university entrance qualification/ subject-related entrance qualification / advanced technical college maturity or any comparable recognized entrance qualification (e.g. higher education entrance for those with vocational qualifications) and, if necessary, a passed aptitude test to earn the university entrance qualification
  • Online submission of application documents including CV, letter of application and certificates
  • English language test (TOEIC with at least 750 points, can be submitted until 4th semester)
  • possible selection interview
  • For candidates not being German native speakers: language level B2 in German

Dual studies
Full-time studies
Distance learning

According to your personal goals you can switch to another type of studies at the end of the semester. For instance, you can begin in a full-time study programme and continue your studies in a dual study programme.

You are welcome to visit our Office of Student Affairs for personal consultation without any previous notice every Wednesday from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. Throughout this personal and individual consultation you have the possibility to get to know our three types of study models (distance learning, full-time study and dual study). If you are interested in a dual study programme, we will be glad to give additional advice concerning your application to a company.

Applicants for the next semester whose application has already been processed are welcome to catch up on the procedure and their chances of being admitted.

You will find us next to the underground station “Stadtmitte” between the stations of U2 and U6 in Friedrichstraße 189.
